INNOVATION BY DESIGN.

MAKING IMPACT SEXY.

Climate Tech Innovation Zones (CTIZ) are both physical zones and digital storyteller platforms that engage, educate, mobilize and showcase a decarbonization pathway to cities.

CTIZs are designed to be scalable and replicable Prosumer Communities, focused on electrifying, decarbonizing and digitalizing Disadvantaged Communities.

A WHOLE SYSTEM

THINKING APPROACH

Our decarbonization approach is based on three pillars: people, buildings, and infrastructure.

We mobilize, educate and engage people towards the energy transition. We retrofit existing buildings and develop new net

zero buildings integrated with our EV micro transit hubs.

People:

Our digital engagement strategy is powered by our Prosumer dApp, CommunityOS, which transforms the way people live into a sustainable lifestyle, by financially incentivizing decarbonization both at home and in the community.

By following simple suggestions within the dApp members become "Prosumers" of electricity.  Prosumers are people that not only consume electricity, but also become producers of their electricity, and eventually market participants able to sell surplus electricity at tactical prices back to the grid.

In partnership with universities, community colleges, the public, and the private sector, our innovation zones also include physical spaces, “ClimateTech Labs.” Our Labs are strategically located within the community in order to inspire, engage, educate and guide residents to participate in the innovative decarbonization efforts

Buildings:

Real estate is a significant cause of climate change, so electrification and decarbonization of buildings are our top priorities. During the first phase, we will focus on affordable housing, both exiting real estate retrofit and the

co-development of new real estate.

We have chosen Virtual Power Plants as our core decarbonization strategy. Virtual Power Plants are flexible, multi-asset networks of clean electricity assets; able to produce, consume, and sell surplus electricity, back to the grid.

These decentralized micro-utilities are designed to decarbonize communities while improving air quality, community resiliency, and local prosperity.

Our Virtual Power Plants integrate artificial intelligence, blockchain, satellites, and super nodes, all orchestrated by CommunityOS, creating an open-source protocol to connect and scale pilots across
Disadvantaged Communities.

Infrastructure:
Transportation is another massive contributor to climate change. Integrating electric real estate with electric micro-mobility is key to our decarbonization strategy.

We retrofit existing buildings and develop new net zero buildings integrated with our EV micro transit hubsEV Van Pooling, and EV Car Sharing.

These micro-mobility services are located in Mix-Used Affordable Housing Buildings in order to provide residents with personal transportation, and enable workforce development.

In addition to providing transportation and gig economy solutions for the residents; when the cars are parked, their batteries will sell stored electricity back to the grid, making it a critical component of the community's virtual power plant.
